I am an aspiring author.  I love writing. It is a passion. I can’t imagine a world where I wasn’t writing something.  But writing is a labor of love and often hate.  Sometimes the thing that brings you pleasure also brings you pain. Sometimes its a good pain.  Sometimes its not.  Regardless you will never give it up.  This is the writing pleasure/pain experience.

Masochism: 1. gratification gained from pain, deprivation, degradation, etc., inflicted or imposed on oneself, either as a result of one’s own actions or the actions of others, esp. the tendency to seek this form of gratification.  2. the act of turning one’s destructive tendencies inward or upon oneself. 3. A willingness or tendency to subject oneself to unpleasant or trying experiences. 4. deriving pleasure or sexual gratification from being abused or dominated
